Sponsor Opportunities

Why Support Kids Voting USA?
Since its founding in 1988, Kids Voting USA (KVUSA) has worked closely with major corporations and foundations to promote and institute initiatives that strengthen civic learning and democracy to ensure the well-being and future prosperity of America.

Corporations and foundations value KVUSA’s mission, work, credibility, and passion for preparing young people to be educated, informed citizens and voters. Corporations such as State Farm Insurance Companies and DaimlerChrysler and foundations such as the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation believe that partnering with KVUSA expands their engagement with young people and gives them a direct way to support vital programs that serve the community.

The following illustrate the value of investing in KVUSA:
  • We increase citizen involvement.  Independent research confirms that our program achieves significant increases in the number of students who register and vote when they become eligible at age 18. Rigorous evaluations also show positive effects on students’ attention to news, discussion of current events with families, and civic knowledge, especially among low-income participants. Parents of students involved in KVUSA programs also vote at higher rates than other adults -- as much as 3 to 5 percentage points higher.
  • We bring communities together. An estimated 500 communities -- from large metropolitan areas to small rural towns -- have established and support KVUSA affiliates. Broad-based community support is one of the hallmarks of KVUSA affiliates.
  • We partner effectively with school districts. Teachers rely on us for engaging, standards-based classroom activities.  KVUSA currently serves 4 million students, working with 200,000 teachers in 10,300 schools.
  • We have strong alliances with the media. 53 newspapers and local television stations are involved directly with KVUSA affiliates.
  • We appeal to all political persuasions. Nonpartisanship is a core value of  KVUSA.
